Digital files don’t hold any weight.

After spending some time getting my website up and running, I decided to integrate something else into it—a storefront! Having everything in one place was supper appealing to me, so I started transitioning my listings on eBay to the storefront on my blog. I’ve acquired many new and used books over the years, which is what you’ll find the most of on the store.

I’ve also added a merch section, where I’m partnering with Printful to bring my designs to life. I’ve made stickers with the blog’s logo, a journal bearing the blog’s slogan—which I only recently thought up and thought it sounded good—and a few other things. I also have a section for digital prints, which is where you’ll find some of my photographs.

I’m not saying all of this to make people think that I’m some successful blog writer—I’m not, but maybe one day—but I do want y’all to be aware of all of the things I’ve been getting up to in regard to the blogging life. I find all of it to be very exciting, and I want to share this excitement with all of y’all!

I’ve been enjoying writing all of these blog posts for y’all, but I’m especially enjoying writing them out in a journal branded with my blog’s colors and slogan. In case you’re wondering, yes, I physically write these posts using pen and paper. I find it so much easier than typing everything out, but that’s a story for another time.

I’m excited to start writing all of my blog posts in this journal, so that when it’s filled, I can look back on the physical drafts and celebrate how far I’ve come when I crack open a new journal. Carissa’s Chronicles is about chronicling my life, my journey, and my stories. Chronicling your life is something that should be commonplace again. Much of history survived because people were writing about it as it happened—history will not survive if people aren’t documenting it.

I love sharing my posts online with all of you, but digital files don’t hold any weight. They can be censored or overwritten. At least if I ever lose the blog, I won’t lose everything I’ve written. Taking up the pen and chronicling your life is not something to be taken lightly. Writing feels almost like a spiritual experience for me. It’s something I can do to document my stories, clear my head, and share my thoughts. I always feel better after a writing session, like getting the words out and onto paper physically releases the thoughts and feelings I have pent up in my head.

Anyway, this has gotten way off topic. This was supposed to be an introduction to the blog’s store, but this has slowly devolved into a rambling writing session, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sometimes, all I need is a rambling writing session. Anyway, check out the store! You know, if you want. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
